The Royal Romana Playa is a modern, neo-classically designed hotel located on the beachfront, five kilometres from Puerto Banus and 10 kilometres from the city of Marbella. This five floor resort hotel features 140 guestrooms, all of which include air conditioning, satellite television, direct-dial phones, and hair dryers. Guestrooms have modern decor with floral drapes and matching bedspreads, and open onto balconies.
The informal buffet-style restaurant, La Ceramica, provides a range of Spanish dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while Grana y Oro, the modern, air-conditioned bar, is open daily for drinks and snacks. After a day sunbathing by the pool, guests can relax in the sauna, or take a gentle workout in the fitness centre. Internet access is available for a fee to plan sightseeing trips along the coast, and staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide further information on local attractions. Guests with their own vehicles will appreciate complimentary parking. For those who enjoy swimming in the sea, the beach is only 10 metres from the front of the hotel, whilst shops and banks are 500 metres from the hotel. There is a golf course approximately 23 kilometres drive away and Malaga Airport is 45 kilometres from the hotel, around 40 minutes by car.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Travel to the hotel from the airport is easiest by taxi. The fare is approximately 50 EUR. An airport bus also runs to/from the bus station in Marbella, from where taxis are available.
Driving directions: From the airport, follow the sign for Algeciras-Torremolinos. Avoid the toll highway and head for the A-7. Take the Elviria exit at KM. 192 and continue over the bridge until you reach the beach.
